Parking at the Main Campus
Parking at Children's is free. Greeters are available just inside most entrances to help you find your way.
The top two levels of the Whale garage are numbered to correspond with the hospital's floors 5 and 6, and have entrances into the hospital. Vehicles over 6' 10" should park on level 6.
If you are going to the inpatient units, you can use Whale or Giraffe Parking.
Whale Parking is located at the top of the campus drive. Giraffe Parking is at the bottom of the drive; take the first left after you turn onto the campus from Sand Point Way.
Driving Directions: General
From the North
- Take I-5 South to exit #169, NE 45th Street
- Turn left (east) at the stoplight onto NE 45th Street
- Go 1.5 miles, passing the University of Washington
- At the bottom of the hill, turn left at the stoplight and continue on NE 45th Street
- NE 45th Street will bear left, becoming Sand Point Way NE
- Turn right at the stoplight onto Children's campus
From the South
- Take I-5 North to exit #169, NE 45th Street
- Stay in the right lane
- Turn right at the stoplight onto NE 45th Street
- Go 1.5 miles, passing the University of Washington
- At the bottom of the hill, turn left at the stoplight and continue on NE 45th Street
- NE 45th Street will bear left, becoming Sand Point Way NE
- Turn right at the stoplight onto Children's campus
From the Eastside (Hwy 520)
- Take 520 west over the Evergreen Point Bridge
- Take the Montlake Exit (north) for 1.1 miles
- Bear right onto 45th Street, which becomes Sand Point Way NE
- Turn right at the stoplight onto Children's campus
From the Eastside (I-90)
- Take I-90 across the Mercer Island Floating Bridge to I-5 North
- Take I-5 North to exit #169, NE 45th Street
- Stay in the right lane
- Turn right at the stoplight onto NE 45th Street
- Go 1.5 miles, passing the University of Washington
- At the bottom of the hill, turn left at the stoplight and continue on NE 45th Street
- NE 45th Street will bear left, becoming Sand Point Way NE
- Turn right at the stoplight onto Children's campus
